A title fight between Jon Jones and Dan Henderson is on the cards and many people believe that this match will be the toughest possible one for the 41 year old, but according to the man himself, who spoke to MMA Inside the Cage before the title defense of Jon Jones against Rashad Evans is of the opinion that he would rather fight against Jones than face off against Evans, simply because facing off against Jones would be stylistically more suited to him that it would have been had he met Evans in the Octagon.
For those who are old enough to have seen Henderson in his early days at PRIDE as well as in the UFC, they will remember the way he took out Fedor Emelianenko in Chicago in one of the most electrifying matches in the history of Mixed Martial Arts and over the years, in spite of the fact that age has taken its toll on the 41 year old Henderson, he can still land a punch that is good and strong enough to knock out the best in the Middleweight or Heavyweight divisions.
Being an expert in clinch is one reason that Henderson feels that Jones would be a better option for him than Rashad Evans who is more of a furious striker and has the advantage of leverage over Jones and in spite of the fact that Evans lost to Jones at UFC 145, Henderson believes that this wouldn’t make a difference if the two of them faced off against each other.
No matter who he faces of against the younger lot, the Fedor fight has taught us one thing and that is an H-Bomb from Henderson can knock out both Rashad Evans and Jon Jones and both of them know that very well indeed.

Ultimate Fighting Championship or UFC Light Heavyweight fighter Rashad Evans wants to be remembered for his contribution to Mixed Martial Arts as a sport and he hopes that he has done enough in his career to cement his legacy. Russell Crowe may have delivered the famous one liner at the very first scene of the box office hit Gladiator, but it seems to hold the truest value in the life of Evans, who has, time and again gone back to saying that his only goal in his life is to remembered forever for his exploits inside the ring as well as out.
Rashad recently spoke to the official website of the UFC via web chat where he reiterated his desire to be remembered as the greatest exponents of Mixed Martial Arts, years after his time in the ring was over and he also added that this provided immense motivation every time he stepped into the ring for a match and all he sees in front of him, is not just his opponent, but his legacy laid out in front of him, just beyond the opponent.
Rashad Evans, who has been a champion in the UFC recalls his time at the top of the promotion as one of the best at the time and although he admits that at 32 years old, age has caught up with him, he still feels that he still has a bit left in the tank. Evans has a record of 16-11 in the UFC and he racked up wins against some of the biggest names in the industry.
Although he plays down the impact of these victories, the legacy of Rashad Evans in the future will ultimately be cemented with these victories against some of these men who have changed the face of Mixed Martial Arts.
